Marco Verratti (born 5 November 1992 in Pescara) is an Italian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Pescara in Serie B.

Career

A technically gifted playmaker with notable assistman skills,[3] Verratti grew up as a player in the Pescara youth system and made his first team debut in 2007 at the age of 16. In the 2009–10 season he appeared more regularly for Pescara, and since then he has become a key player for his team. His performances to date also won him notable nationwide coverage, his name being often touted as one of the future Italian football stars.[3]
